Nathaniel Hackett Gets Paid!

Nathaniel Hackett signed a contract as head coach of the Denver Broncos in the 2022 off-season.

A few days ago, after a major loss to add to the shitty season, the Broncos fired the head coach and replaced him with Jerry Rosburg.

We have parted ways with Head Coach Nathaniel Hackett.

The Broncos official youtube posted this video on the subject yesterday:

Apparently, as per Hackett's 4-year contract, he is to continue getting paid his full salary for the term of the contract, which works out to be around 80,000 dollars a week to do nothing.

If he does take a job in the NFL over the next 3 seasons, since he pretty much has one under his belt, the Broncos will have to pay the salary difference to equal his 80,000 per week.

So basically, if Hackett doesn't take a job in the NFL he gets 80k per week, if he does take a lesser paying job in the NFL, he will still make 80k per week.

His salary is around 4 million a year.

If you or someone you know is a football coach, you may want to get his agent or lawyers to represent you. It sounds like a deal of a lifetime, one that is so good, you'd probably try to get fired because why work when you can collect your salary not working. Duh.

It's basic logic really!

People are suggesting the same dealmaker was responsible for Russel Wilson's 245k 5-year deal, since people aren't happy with Wilson's performance this season, but some are hoping he steps up as interim head coach.
