On Wednesday night it was announced that free agent tight end Kyle Rudolph signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The veteran will try to fill the shoes of future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski, who retired this offseason.
Those are big shoes to follow and it won't be easy for Rudolph. Not only because he's replacing one of the best to ever do it, but because his new quarterback, Tom Brady, won't be looking his way.
According to Schefter, who reported this without mentioning something horrible in Rudolph's past, said Brady told Rudolph that the tight end can't be his first read because he went to Notre Dame.
Kyle Rudolph chose to play in Tampa despite the fact that former Michigan QB Tom Brady told his new tight end that he can’t be his first read because he went to Notre Dame.

You gotta love College Football rivalries. I'm sure Brady will get over the fact that Rudolph went to Notre Dame. It might take him a while, but that could be a connection that is very beneficial to the Tampa Bay offense.
