Deshaun Watson's sexual assault allegations might not be as straightforward as people want us to believe. The NFL interviewed 12 of the 24 women who filed lawsuits against the Browns quarterback.
They also interviewed people close to the women. During one of the interviews conducted by the NFL, with the adult son of one of the accusers, some interesting details were revealed.
According to a report from Josina Anderson, the mother was initially complimentary of Watson after her encounter with him. Her story changed after allegations against him surfaced.
The son also said his mother intended to reward his silence. Here's what Anderson revealed in a series of tweets:
"I'm told there’s a recording of an interview with the adult son of 1 of 12 women the NFL interviewed in the Deshaun Watson case — stating his mom initially was complimentary of Watson in their conversations after the massage, but later switched her account and tone after negative allegations surfaced about Watson.
The son intimated his mother intended to reward his silence, per league source. There's a feeling that the NFL was initially cagey about details they learned from the woman’s son — after only mentioning they interviewed him in their report.
The son's recording was later reviewed by Watson's side revealing the aforementioned details — presumably illuminating why this particular accuser was not included with the 5 women the NFL ultimately focused on at the hearing."
Watson has reportedly settled with 20 of the 24 accusers. The NFL conducted interviews with 12 women and focused their investigation on 5 of those.
A significant suspension is expected to be handed down by the NFL prior to the start of the season. The exact date of that ruling isn't known, neither is the length of Watson's suspension.
This information from one of the accusers son's proves it's not as cut and dry as it seems. That said my man should probably seek some help for the massage therapist thing he has.
