On Sunday Will Zalatoris came very close to winning or at least competing in a playoff with the US Open winner Matt Fitzpatrick. He finished tied for second place and was near the top of the leaderboard throughout the day.
Zalatoris missed a crucial putt late that would have tied Fitzpatrick and setup a playoff. Here is a look at that heartbreaking miss.

This is just the latest in a growing list of heartbreaking finishes for Zalatoris. Following the second place finish he had a message for the Instagram morons he expects to show up in his mentions, via Larry Brown Sports:
“I’m sure all the Instagram morons are going to say it has something to do with my left wrist flexion coming down, but I promise you, it’s got nothing to do with it. I think just keep doing what we’re doing. This one stings for sure, but I know that we’re going to get this,” Zalatoris said.
It's funny, but it also lets those morons know that what they say gets to him. It's a fine line to walk, but firing back is always fun.
