Baker Mayfield Remains the Panthers Most Likely Option If They Decide to Add a Veteran QB

The Carolina Panthers are staring down their fifth consecutive losing season.  If they want to avoid that, which they claim they do, then they're going to have to add a veteran quarterback.

The most likely option if the Panthers want to add a veteran quarterback is Baker Mayfield.  He is still hidden away on the Browns roster as they move forward with Deshaun Watson.

Mayfield seems like the best, and most likely option over San Francisco’s Jimmy Garoppolo even if Panthers receiver Robbie Anderson isn’t thrilled with the idea of Mayfield coming to Charlotte.

It's going to take a lot to get Mayfield to Carolina.  The Browns seem to be set on not cutting him and they also don't want to pay much of the money he is owed this season either.  It's going to take one side getting really desperate for a deal to get done.
