An Unkempt Mike Ditka Makes an Appearance in a Video Endorsing a Friend for Chicago Area Board

David Spada, an attorney turned sports talk show host, posted a video on Twitter of Bears legend Mike Ditka endorsing him for a seat on the Lake County Board.  The 82-year-old's unkempt appearance was shocking to say the least.

Ditka, who has had health problems over the last few years including strokes and a heart attack, was sitting in a chair with what looks like a blanket on his lap.  His hair is a mess and there are stains on his shirt.

I know the guy wanted Ditka's endorsement and all, but couldn't somebody have helped him get straightened up before recording this?  It's Mike Ditka for God's sake.  This is sadder than when he coached the Saints.
