The Raiders are apparently in the market for a 34-year-old veteran quarterback who hasn't played football in several years. Didn't know that was a thing until Wednesday when Colin Kaepernick worked out for the team.
Kaepernick's workout is said to have gone well and he impressed the Raiders. Ian Rapoport reports that "the door is open." It's safe to assume he means the door to sign the former 49ers quarterback is open.

Kaepernick threw for 12,271 yards and 72 touchdowns during his six seasons with the 49ers. He also did some damage with his legs. The Raiders used Marcus Mariota as a running threat at times last season and maybe they're hoping Kaepernick could fill that role.
Raiders owner Mark Davis also has multiple complaints from female employees against him that he could be attempting to bury with some Kaepernick news. We'll find out how interested the Raiders truly are in the coming days.
