Aaron Judge Turned Down Massive Extension With the Yankees

SJ - April 8, 2022

Weather delayed the start of the Yankees 2022 season, a season which could be the last in pinstripes for Aaron Judge.  The Yankees and their star attempted and failed to reach an agreement on a long-term deal.

General manager Brian Cashman revealed on Friday that the Yankees offered Judge what shakes out to a seven-year, $$213.5 million deal that would have started in 2023.  That with a $17 million arbitration offer for this season would have put the total package over $230 million for 8 years.

Judge did not agree and might be testing the free agency waters at the end of the season.

As a Yankee fan I would love nothing more than to see Judge in pinstripes for the next several years.  But I have to be honest, I haven't trusted him since he fixed the gap in his teeth and if he leaves New York may nothing but failure come his way.

Breaking balls low and away!  He can't lay off them and he can't hit them, it's ugly.
