UFC fighters Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal are apparently fighting for free now on the streets of Miami. It was reported on Monday night that the two, who fought earlier this month at UFC 272, got into a fight outside of a restaurant in Miami.
Police were called to Papi Steak in Miami Beach where Covington was having dinner with the Nelk Boys and podcast host Bob Menery. Masvidal allegedly showed up to confront his former American Top Team teammate and the two got into a physical altercation.
Masvidal's manager, Malki Kawa, took to Twitter after the altercation and claimed that Covington was missing a tooth after the fight. He also claimed Covington, who was calling himself the King of Miami earlier in the night, might have said something about Masvidal's kids.
In other words your typical UFC turf war. Or insanity if you're a professional fighter. Masvidal had his shot in the octagon at shutting Covington up and couldn't do it. If Covington wants to call himself the King of Miami then he gets to.
It's called bragging rights. Shut him up in the octagon. Obviously Masvidal isn't too confident in his ability to do that.
