Davante Adams is expected to be highly sought after if he hits the free agent market. One team who is prepared to go all in for the star wide receiver is the Las Vegas Raiders.
It's not clear that Adams will hit the free agent market. If Aaron Rodgers signs with the Packers, Adams is likely to follow. If not there is talk of a possible tag and trade scenario that would reunite Adams with his college quarterback Derek Carr.
Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline provides details about a possible tag and trade between the Packers and Raiders.
Last week I reported the Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars are two teams that will likely be in the market to acquire Adams if he makes it to free agency. I can confirm this is the case, as both are among the half dozen teams who will make a push for the receiver if, in fact, he hits the open market.
The latest rumor that is making the rounds is a tag and trade scenario where the franchise tag is applied to Adams and then he is traded to the Raiders. Las Vegas would then sign Adams to the large deal he desires.
Imagine going from the NFC North to the AFC West. Adams would find out real quick what playing games with a real NFL schedule was all about. It's not the cakewalk the Packers joke of a schedule is.
