Cowboys executive vice president and director of player personnel Stephen Jones hinted at this earlier this week, but now Adam Schefter is reporting that Dallas is likely to release wide receiver Amari Cooper.
The move is expected to be made by the start of the new league year. Cooper has $20 million in guaranteed money set to come his way on the fifth day of the new league year.

You can't overpay everyone. It hasn't worked out when it comes to the money Ezekiel Elliott is making and it won't for Cooper either. The Cowboys were a really bad team without Dak Prescott, but his contract will likely overstay its welcome as well.
