Matthew Stafford Tells His Side of the Rams Photographer Fall

Matthew and Kelly Stafford addressed the Rams photographer falling off the stage during the Super Bowl parade on her podcast, "The Morning After."  The Rams quarterback told his side of the story and says he apologized to her for his reaction to the fall.

“I do know that the reaction that the world saw in that split second, I do know that’s not what you wish would have been your reaction,” Kelly said.

Stafford then replied, “Yeah, I mean, that obviously happened really quickly and suddenly and unexpectedly, and wish I had a better reaction in the moment.”

The quarterback said he apologized to Smiley over his reaction, adding, “One of those things you try to train your reactions to be a little bit better next time.”

The photographer's unfortunate fall led to some of her old tweets being uncovered.  She responded to that by deleting her account.  If I cared I would check to see if her account was still deleted, but I don't.

As far as Stafford's reaction, what was he supposed to do?  He's not a doctor and he had a few adult beverages.  He sent his wife over to check the situation out.  He didn't just turn his back on the photographer and leave her alone.
