A report came out prior to the Super Bowl that the NFL told Eminem not to kneel during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Eminem did take a knee during the performance.

Those reports might have not have been entirely true. The NFL's Vice President of Communications, Brian McCarthy, was asked about the report and denied it.
NFL's Brian McCarthy on the report that the league told Eminem not to kneel during the halftime show: “Report was erroneous. We watched all elements of the show during numerous rehearsals this week.”

It's unclear if Eminem was kneeling in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick and the former NFL quarterback's police brutality protests or if he was kneeling in support of domestic violence victims.
