Here’s What the 49ers Want in Return for Jimmy G

It's no secret the 49ers plan to trade Jimmy Garoppolo this off-season.  They're planning to hand the team over to Trey Lance or maybe land a veteran for a season or two.

The only question is what do they expect in return for Jimmy G?  Thanks to Matt Lombardo we now know.

According to Matt Lombardo of Fansided, the 49ers want either a second-round draft pick or a third-round pick and a player for Garoppolo.

Garoppolo has never put up flashy numbers, but he has been to a Super Bowl and two conference championships games. He has proven he can win games if the roster around him is good enough. That is what will make Jimmy G. appealing to other teams.

Jimmy G just wins.  It's true he's not a numbers guy, but he collects Ws.  The fact that he was just a couple of plays away from his second trip to the Super Bowl in three years is impressive.

That said the only other knock against him is the fact that he hasn't been able to do enough to win the big games.
