John Elway Responds to Brian Flores’ Claim That He Was Drinking Heavily the Night Before His Interview

Brian Flores' lawsuit has a lot of juicy claims in it.  One juicy claim that stood out was his claim that when he interviewed for the Broncos head coaching job back in 2019, GM John Elway and President Joe Ellis were an hour late, looked completely disheveled, and it was obvious that they had been drinking heavily the night before.

Elway responded to Flores' claims calling them "false and defamatory."  Here's his statement:

I have no doubt, based on Bill Belichick's text message, that Flores has experienced some mistreatment during the hiring process.  That doesn't mean every interaction he had during the interview process falls into the mistreatment category.
