Christian McCaffrey Paid Off the Layaway Balances for 363 Military Families in the Carolinas

Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey spread some holiday cheer through his foundation last week.  He paid off the layaway balanced for 363 military families in the Carolinas.

McCaffrey made the announcement on Zoom with 22 of those families.

The Christmas surprise took place over a Zoom video chat with McCaffrey and 22 members of the military.

“We owe our service men and women and their families a debt of gratitude for all that they do to serve our country,” McCaffrey said. “The Christian McCaffrey Foundation is contributing to Pay Away the Layaway this holiday season to say thank you to military families throughout the Carolinas, for your service and your sacrifice.”

He might be injured again and not contributing on the field, but it's good to see that McCaffrey is putting some of that money he is robbing from the Panthers to good use.  I assume he put up some of his own cash.
