Washington Football Team defensive back Deshazor Everett was involved in a fatal crash on Thursday night.  The passenger in his vehicle died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Everett was the driver of the vehicle and was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

From NFL.com:

The passenger in the car Everett was driving was identified as Olivia S. Peters. She died at a local hospital from her injuries suffered in the crash.

Everett was the driver of a 2010 Nissan GT-R involved in a crash on Gum Spring Road near Ticonderoga Road at around 9:15 p.m. ET, according to the Sheriff's Office. Everett's vehicle left the right side of the roadway, struck several trees and rolled over.

Everett was taken to the hospital where he is being treated for "serious but non-life-threatening injuries," Washington confirmed in a statement.

Obviously this is tragic and you feel for the family of the woman who died.

On a separate note, is it time to start calling the Washington Football Team and the Raiders cursed?

They're linked through the email scandal that cost Jon Gruden his job and have been having bad things happen to them for months.

Both teams now have a player involved in a fatal crash.  That sounds cursed to me.
