Aldon Smith was in court earlier this week and pled not guilty to all charges stemming from a DUI arrest earlier this year. The prosecutors in the case revealed more details from the accident that led to his arrest.
According to the prosecutors, the former NFL star had weed in his pockets and empty bottles of liquor in his car. He was ordered to wear an alcohol detection device and will be back in court in January.
From TMZ Sports:
Prosecutors just revealed more details surrounding Smith's arrest ... saying the NFL star had weed in his pocket and empty bottles of rum and vodka in his car.
Officials say Smith rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign on I-280 at around 1:28 PM on Dec. 6 ... and then told the person he hit that "he "cannot have cops there."
Officials say Smith offered the person $1,000 for a ride away from the scene.
Officials added that when cops arrived, Smith "refused to submit to field sobriety tests and refused to take a test."
What was a great comeback story has taken a turn for the worst. It's truly sad and unfortunately we probably haven't seen the worst of it yet.
