Love him or hate him, Tom Brady is really good at football. We can all recognize that. But what we don't get to see watching him play is him calling out the defense to his running back mid-play.
Thanks to a video of Brady doing just that when the Buccaneers hosted the Giants on Monday night we get to see his genius in action.
As Brady drops back to fake a handoff to Leonard Fournette on a play action pass, Brady can be heard saying, "Cover 2."
On a play action pass, Fournette doesn’t leave the fake handoff entirely empty-handed.
“Cover-2,” Brady tells him.
Even with his back turned to the defense, he already knows the coverage.
It’s a simple reminder of what fans don’t see:

This is why he's the best. As Gronk said, Brady watches so much film you don't have to. There's a reason he has so many rings.
