Teddy Bridgewater doesn't get paid to make tackles. He made that clear on Sunday when he had the opportunity to possibly save a defensive touchdown. The Broncos quarterback's attempt was laughable.
In a 20-13 game late in the third quarter the Broncos went for it on 4th and 1. Broncos running back Melvin Gordon fumbled the ball and it was picked up by Eagles corner Darius Slay.
As Slay started to break away from the pack Bridgewater had a clear chance to at least attempt to tackle Slay. He instead leaned over towards Slay with his arms at his side. Slay took it to the house and put the Eagles up by two scores.
Here's the sad tackle attempt...

The only thing worse than Teddy's tackle attempt was his explanation of the attempt. According to Teddy B, he was trying to force Slay back inside where someone else, who wasn't there, could make the tackle.

I agree with Teddy, he doesn't get paid to make tackles. But he has to say that. He can't bullshit us with this lame ass excuse. Own it Teddy, you don't get paid to make tackles, you get paid to throw check downs.
