The Carolina Panthers haven't given up on a possible trade for Deshaun Watson.  According to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, the Panthers are still very much in on a trade for the troubled quarterback.

Carolina is so in on landing Watson that they're willing to include star running back Christian McCaffrey.

This news comes a couple of days after it was reported that the Dolphins had a deal in place for Watson and the Panthers had given up on acquiring him.

From Yahoo Sports:

A report on Friday night from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports suggests the Panthers are still in pursuit of the Houston Texans quarterback, noting that a trade “remains a priority ahead of Tuesday’s deadline” for team owner David Tepper. And they’re so in, in fact, that their superstar running back may be on the table.

“League sources said the Panthers are willing to part with three high picks and All Pro running back Christian McCaffrey in a package for Watson; the Texans are very high on several of the Panthers’ young defensive standouts (still on their rookie contracts and younger and cheaper than McCaffrey), and the sides have yet to reach a compromise,” La Canfora writes.

We'll see if a deal gets done and which team lands him in the coming days.  As good as McCaffrey is he's become the guy who can't stay healthy.

I doubt any team is going to want to pay him what he's getting paid to stand on the sidelines.  If any team was dumb enough to do it the Texans would be the team.

If the Panthers landed Watson would they also be bringing back jeans Fridays in the office?
