Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence won the starting job in Jacksonville.
The former Clemson star beat out third-year quarterback Gardner Minshew. Just a couple of days after that announcement was made, the Jaguars traded Minshew to the Eagles.
According to Adam Schefter, the Jaguars will receive a conditional 2022 sixth-round pick.
Trade: Jaguars are sending QB Gardner Minshew II to the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional 2022 sixth-round pick, per sources. The 6th-round pick could go to a 5th if Minshew plays in 50 percent of the plays in three games this season.

Minshew Mania is headed to Philly. He'll back up Jalen Hurts until they get tired of him or he gets hurt.
