The Jacksonville Jaguars still don't have a starting quarterback.  They're not ready to name one and have said it's an open competition between Gardner Minshew and rookie Trevor Lawrence.

Urban Meyer and company plan to drag that decision out as long as they possible can.  With two preseason games left before the regular season gets here offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell called the QB situation in Jacksonville an "ongoing battle."

From The Florida Times-Union:

"We're still going to handle it that way until we end up making the final decision,'' Bevell said about the ongoing battle between the two quarterbacks. ''Right now, they are still status quo. We're trying to make everybody better. We want competition at each and every position. Both guys are getting better because of it.''

Maybe they should go out and sign Colin Kaepernick, because according to Madden he's better than the rookie they took with the No. 1 overall pick.  That's probably not going to happen, but the Jags might Jag Off a little too much here and find themselves with another high draft pick next year.

Give the rookie the ball.  Minshew Mania had its moment.
