Jack Morris stepped all in it during an Angels and Tigers game earlier this week. For some reason he decided to use an offensive Asian accent while talking about Angels star Shohei Ohtani.
The Hall of Famer apologized for the accent during the game and has been suspended indefinitely by Bally Sports Detroit. He now has to do some bias training.
Ohtani was asked about Morris' comments and can't be counted among those offended by them.
Shohei Ohtani on the Jack Morris comments: "I did see the footage and I heard it. Personally, I'm not offended and I didn't take anything personally. ... He is a Hall of Famer. He has a big influence in the baseball world. It's kind of a tough spot."

Why was the fact that Shohei made his comments via an interpreter pointed out? Seems problematic to someone I'm sure.
Morris' use of an accent was stupid and he deserves some sort of punishment. But let's not pretend like what he did was the most offensive thing anyone has ever done.
