Back on August 4th the Dodgers signed left-hander Cole Hamels. They were hoping that he would be able to add some depth to the pitching staff as they prepare for a run at back-to-back World Series titles.
That's not going to happen now. Just a couple weeks after signing him the Dodgers placed the 37-year-old on the 60 day disabled list.
The Dodgers selected the contract of RHP Neftalí Féliz, recalled RHP Andre Jackson and optioned LHP Darien Núñez and RHP Edwin Uceta to Triple-A. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers placed Cole Hamels on the 60-day injured list.

The Dodgers will still have to pay Hamels the $1 million he signed for. Not bad work if you can get it. Hamels is going to make $1 million without throwing a single pitch for the Dodgers.
