Normally in the game of baseball the ball has to go over the plate for a strike to be called. In Little League the zone can get a little wider due to the skill level of the players involved.
But this pitch that was called a strike last night is one of the worst calls in the history of baseball. For starters the pitcher is like seven feet tall. That kid is already a cheat code and doesn't need any help.
The batter's reaction to the terrible call was perfect. He was in complete shock. He couldn't believe a pitch that was that far outside was called a strike.
Shoutout to Angel Hernandez for volunteering to umpire some Little League games pic.twitter.com/2GTy4wAA4Z

Welcome to the big time kid and welcome to an umpire of a certain era. This umpire must have grown up watching the Braves of the 90s pitch. If it's on the chalk it's a strike.
I'm not going to look it up or anything, but I hope the kid at the plate's team won the game.
