Carson Wentz's time in Indianapolis is off to a very familiar start. The often injured former Eagles quarterback will miss up to three months after it was decided a foot injury will need surgery.
Wentz had hoped to rehab the injury and not have surgery. That was ruled out by doctors both inside and outside of the Colts organization.
The injury is apparently an old injury from high school that he aggravated last week during practice, because he is in fact made of glass.
Reich said the decision on surgery was VERY clear cut for their doctors and outside doctors.

There was no way Wentz was going to play in all 17 games this season anyway.
Might as well frontload those missed games and hope he can return in time for the stretch run. The Colts are going to need to find a quality backup very quickly.
