Is Mac Jones the next Tom Brady or Jarrett Stidham?  The Patriots are hoping he's more of Tom than he is Jarrett.

On Tuesday the former Alabama quarterback officially signed his rookie deal with the team.  A very reasonable four-year, $15.6 million deal that includes a fifth-year option.

One more year, or if things aren't going well, less than a year of Cam Newton and New England will hand the team over to Jones.

It's not the first time Bill Belichick will hand a team over to a doughy unathletic quarterback, but if he's lucky, it will be the last.  All he has to do is mold the dough into the perfect quarterback.
