Joe West Tossed Cardinals Pitcher Giovanny Gallegos’ Hat

Joe West decided Wednesday's Cardinals-White Sox game was going to be about him. One of the worst umpires to ever do it tossed Cardinals pitcher Giovanny Gallegos' hat from the game.

He then tossed Cardinals manager Mike Shildt who argued with him about making his pitcher change hats. As for the hat it was taken to the umpire's room to be evaluated.

First of all screw Joe West. Secondly every pitcher has a little something on their hat or belt or forearm for a little extra grip. As long as you aren't doctoring the ball or have an obvious spot, looking at you Michael Pineda, then it should be fair game.

A discolored spot on a hat isn't cause for a Joe West production.
