Rumors that Jimmy Garoppolo was going to be traded back to the Patriots have been around for months now. It didn't happen prior to the draft and it seems less likely now that the draft has come and gone.
The 49ers are planning for life after Jimmy G. They drafted a quarterback with the No. 3 overall pick. The Patriots are running it back with Cam Newton after a subpar season, but they too drafted a quarterback in the first-round.
The fact that it's less likely didn't keep Jimmy G from being asked about it.
From NESN:
“I don’t know. We never really got to cross that bridge,” Garoppolo said. “You never know where your path is going to take you in the NFL. I thought I was going to be in New England for my entire career. That didn’t go as planned. So it’s kind of one of those businesses; you’ve just got to be ready for anything. You’ve got to be on your toes. You’ve got to be able to react. However the story plays out, you’ve just got to be able to run with it.”

Jimmy G isn't worried about the rumors because why would he be? He's young, rich and good looking. Life is pretty damn good whether he's in San Francisco or New England.
