No this isn't an April Fool's Day joke.  Hall of Fame head coach Roy Williams announced his retirement on Thursday after 33 years as a College Basketball head coach.

Williams, who spent 18 seasons as the head coach of the UNC Tarheels, was bounced in the first-round of this year's NCAA tournament.  A first in his 30 tournament appearances.

He led the Tar Heels to three national titles (2005, 2009 and 2017).

You have to hand it to Roy, he didn't cry about this season like Duke's head devil did.  He took his lumps and called it a career like a man, a dainty southern gentleman.
