LaMelo Ball’s rookie season is likely over after he suffered a fractured wrist over the weekend.  The 19-year-old was having what many believe is a rookie of the year season before the injury.

Ball is officially out indefinitely and will undergo further tests early this week before being ruled out for the rest of the season.

From ESPN:

Ball won't be formally ruled out for the season until after meeting with Dr. Michelle Carlson at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York early this week, but sources said the injury will end his dazzling debut after 41 scintillating games and with the Hornets holding the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Hornets announced Sunday evening that Ball underwent an MRI and an initial diagnosis revealed a fractured bone in the wrist. The team said Ball would be listed as out indefinitely, and that additional updates would be provided when available.

Just when it looked like the Hornets were going to have some nice things.  The basketball Gods didn't want Charlotte to see too much success in Ball's first season.
