Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich isn't one to keep his opinions about politics to himself.  So he of course had thoughts about Texas Governor Greg Abbott's decision to open his state up and end mask mandates.

Pop was a huge fan of the move, just kidding, he hates it.  He brought up science and equated the decision to end mask mandates to killing people.

From TMZ Sports:

Pop says Abbott's decision will obviously result in more COVID cases -- which means more death.

"When all of a sudden we act like [the pandemic] is over with -- when all of the science tells us the opposite -- it's basically like you're saying, 'You get infected? You die? That's the way it goes. We gotta open up!'

"That's not the way to do it. This is really ridiculous!"

Ending mask mandates and opening up the state doesn't mean you can't wear a mask or two or three if you so choose to do so.  It also doesn't mean you have to leave your house without your full hazmat suit either.
