Nobody saw this coming...

Free agent defensive end J.J. Watt has picked his new team.  According to the former Texan himself, he's signing with the Arizona Cardinals.  The terms of the deal weren't released, but Adam Schefter reports that the deal is worth $31 million with $23 million in guaranteed money.

From ESPN:

Free-agent pass-rusher J.J. Watt has agreed to a two-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals, the team announced Monday.

Terms were not disclosed, but a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that the deal is worth $31 million and includes $23 million guaranteed.

Before the Cardinals announced the agreement, Watt broke the news by sharing a photo on Twitter:

I don't remember the Cardinals being mentioned at all by the "experts" as a possible landing spot for Watt.  It's certainly not the splash signing everyone thought he would be making.  He's going to spend another two years of his career spinning his wheels.  Good luck J.J. at least you'll be hanging out with DeAndre Hopkins again.
