The San Diego Padres continue to spend money like it's going out of style (actually a great thing to see in the MLB. They made some big splash moves in the free agent market and through trades the past couple of off-seasons.
This time the beneficiary of the Padres spending spree is one of their own. Star shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. just agreed to an insane 14-year, $340 million extension.

Padres fans have a lot to be excited about. Tatis is a legit superstar and is going to be a lot of fun to watch. He'll be dropping bombs and throwing disrespect all over the diamond. It's going to be great.
