Adrian Peterson will be looking for a new team this off-season after spending last season in Detroit. The 36-year-old still wants to play and would love to join Tom Brady in Tampa.
Who wouldn't? The 43-year-old proved he can still get it done by unbelievably winning his 7th Super Bowl last weekend. There are going to be players knocking Tampa's door down this off-season.
From TMZ Sports:
"That would definitely be something I'm interested in," Peterson says ... explaining "If they want me to be a part of it, I'll be a part of it for sure. Because I'm definitely trying to add a trophy to my resume."
Peterson is slated to be a free agent this offseason after his 1-year contract with the Detroit Lions expires ... and there could be some interest from the Bucs in him.
After all, Bruce Arians did trade for A.P. back in 2017 when he was the Arizona Cardinals' head coach -- and Peterson performed well there in limited playing time.
I wouldn't call AP brilliant or anything, but he's smart enough to know that Brady could drag his ass to a Super Bowl. He had to have seen what LeSean McCoy was able to do the past two seasons.
McCoy now has two rings without playing a single snap in either of those Super Bowls. AP wants some of that action. A ring is a ring after all.
