COLLEGE FOOTBALL
SJ - November 30, 2020
You can't do that Danny boy.
On Saturday Vanderbilt Women's Soccer player Sarah Fuller made history by becoming the first woman to play in a Power Five college football game. She kicked off the second half of the 41-0 loss to Missouri with a squib kick of some kind.
Fuller kept the kick inbounds, didn't allow a return and made history. She also received some criticism for the kick, including from ESPN's Dan Le Batard, who will probably issue a formal apology at some point.
Le Batard tweeted and deleted criticism of Fuller's kickoff.
I'm going to guess that Dan didn't realize that this kick was by design. Which I can't really blame him. I too was confused as to why Vanderbilt didn't have Sarah do a normal kickoff.
Congratulations to Sarah for getting her name in the history books no matter how bizarre it ended up going down.
