Tampa Bay Rays ace Blake Snell was dealing in Game 6 on Wednesday night. The flamethrowing left-hander made the mistake of allowing a baserunner in the sixth inning and was pulled by manager Kevin Cash.
It proved to be a costly mistake for the Rays and handed the Los Angeles Dodgers the World Series. After his 5 1/3 innings of shutout baseball, Snell knew the game was over when Cash came for the ball.
Here's his reaction.

Snell was right. Reliever Nick Anderson entered the game and immediately handed the lead to the Dodgers.

And just like that the supposed "genius" of Kevin Cash evaporated. He took his ace out in a must win game after he struck out nine and allowed only two hits.
As a result of Cash's brilliant move, the Dodgers are World Series champions. There's something oddly satisfying about a move like the one Cash made immediately backfiring.
