Daniel Jones Was Tackled by a Blade of Grass

Daniel Jones was tackled by a blade of grass during Thursday night's loss to the Eagles.  The Giants are now 1-6 on the season after managing to lose a game that they took a lead into the final minute of the game.

The now viral run by Daniel Jones, who was tackled by the blade of grass on a sure touchdown, sums up the game perfectly.

While the play ended in one of the most comically disappointing ways imaginable, it also produced a couple of cute little stats for Giants fans.

Jones posted the 15th fastest time by a ball carrier this season and the fastest by a quarterback since 2018.  Cute right?

Daniel Jones got up to 21.23MPH on that run. It's the 15th fastest time a ball carrier as logged this year. For comparison, Tyreek Hill's fastest time this year is 21.29 MPH.

While everyone is laughing at Daniel Jones for not finishing the run, he topped out at 21.23 MPH on that long run and that was the fastest top speed by ANY quarterback on a run since the 2018 season. And yes, that includes all of Lamar Jackson's runs. Not bad.#Giants #GiantsChat
