UConn Freshman Paige Bueckers Has More Social Media Followers Than Any Other NCAA Athlete

UPDATE: There are two LSU student-athletes with more followers.  I'm not guilty of promoting fake news, only of loving a little too much.  (Paige still has a shitload of followers, especially for a freshman)

If you've never heard of UConn Women's Basketball player Paige Bueckers you're not alone, but you will be soon.  That's because the freshman point guard has an insanely large social media following.

In fact Paige has the more followers on social media than any other NCAA athlete.

Some of the answers:

-RJ Hampton (never was in NCAA)

-Lamelo Ball (never was in NCAA)

-Trevor Lawrence

-Justin Fields

-Haley Cruse

No one guessed the right answer: UConn's Paige Bueckers.

Including her Twitter (30k), Paige has 780k followers in total. That beats out Trevor Lawrence by just under 100k followers (Trevor doesn't have TikTok).

You could argue that Bueckers is the future of women's basketball, so of course, she chose to go to UConn.

With a social media following that large and the plan for student-athletes to earn money for endorsements Paige could make some serious money.

Being the point guard for UConn probably won't hurt things in that department either.
