It looks like rookie Justin Herbert will be making his second career start on Sunday after doctors advised Tyrod Taylor not to play due to a punctured lung. It turns out the punctured lung was the reason for his pregame chest pain on Sunday.
How he ended up with a punctured lungs is bananas. It turns out the Chargers team doctor punctured his lung prior to kickoff giving him a painkiller injection for his cracked ribs.
The Chargers’ team doctor accidentally punctured his own quarterback Tyrod Taylor’s lung just before kickoff Sunday while trying to administer a pain-killing injection to the quarterback’s cracked ribs, league and team sources told ESPN.
