Lions LB Jamie Collins Was Ejected for Spearing a Referee

Just kidding. Lions linebacker Jamie Collins was ejected for lowering his head and gently making contact with the referee's tummy.

The referee would have been whistled for a flop in the NBA, but it is against the rules to purposely make contact with an official.

I'm not sure what Collins was thinking here, but he had to know his day was going to come to an early end.

Good thing Detroit gave Collins a $30 million contract. He'll take out referees with the crown of his helmet whenever they need to straightened out.

It's money well spent if you ask me and far more valuable than any amount of sacks he would have gotten had he stayed in the game.
