Colin Kaepernick is back in the NFL. Well back in the NFL in Madden 21 anyway. EA Sports added the former 49ers quarterback back to the game.
The fact that Kap was added back to the game is the least surprising thing when you see what his rating in the game is. He's head and shoulders above the rest of the free agent quarterbacks in the game with an 81 overall rating.
Kap's 81 overall rating makes him the 15th best quarterback in the game. He's ranked higher than a former MVP and a future Hall of Famer just to name a few.
From Daily Snark:
On Tuesday, The Undefeated broke the story that EA Sports would be adding Kaeperback back into the video game for the first time since he was released by the 49ers in 2016.
The franchise has listed the disgraced former 49ers QB as the top rated free agent quarterback with an 81 overall rating, making him the 15th highest rated QB in the entire game.
Not playing since 2016 has done wonders for his Madden rating. It's safe to say EA Sports thinks he should be back in the league and it's also safe to say they think he should have one of these jobs.

Who knew the best way to get your Madden rating up was to not play for 4 years 🤨
Should Kaepernick be in the NFL? Probably. Is he the 15th overall quarterback? Not a chance in hell.
