Houston Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni's future with the team is currently up in the air.  His contract ends when the Rockets season does.

Whether or not Houston wants him back has been a question all year long.

With the Rockets currently up 1-0 in their Conference Semifinal series against the Los Angeles Lakers, GM Daryl Morey addressed D'Antoni's future.

Morey made it clear, the Rockets want him back.

From Larry Brown Sports:

According to general manager Daryl Morey, D’Antoni need not worry — the Rockets badly want him back.

“It’s probably No. 1. That’s a fair way to put it,” Morey told USA TODAY Sports’ Mark Medina. “We have all our key players signed. I think Mike coming back is super important.”

Morey might want to wait and see how the playoffs play out before making a decision on D'Antoni's future.

Unless he's happy with his team shitting the bed in the playoffs.  I mean almost anyone could coach this team.
