The Cubs and Reds made it through the first game of their doubleheader on Saturday without incident. Chicago won the game 3-0 thanks to two home runs off the bat of Anthony Rizzo.
In the top of the 4th inning a pitch sailed over Rizzo's head. Was it a message or a pitch that got away? You be the judge.
Cubs manager David Ross certainly thought there was a message and got himself ejected arguing about it.
Interesting how David Ross gets ejected when Anthony Rizzo got a ball thrown over the head.. This ejection makes no sense. pic.twitter.com/QNIZdqedfU

Of course that wasn't the end of the fun. If it was I wouldn't have written an article about the benches clearing now would I?
In the bottom of the inning a pitch from a Cubs pitcher was thrown up and in to Reds hitter Shogo Akiyama. The Reds bench didn't approve and the benches ended up clearing.
When the dust settled three Reds had been tossed, manager David Bell, Joey Votto and Jesse Winker.

This is great. Forget about social distancing and let's have a good old fashioned fight on the diamond.
The country is finally healing. Baseball players are back to fighting and there's College Football on my TV.
