White Sox Pitcher Michael Kopech Has Filed for Divorce From Actress Vanessa Morgan

White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech opted out of the pandemic shortened season for personal reasons.  Those personal reasons appear to be a divorce from actress Vanessa Morgan.

The two were married back in January and Morgan just revealed that she's expecting a boy.  Kopech was absent from the big announcement, but a rep for Morgan says that he is the father.

Kopech filed on June 19 in Morris County in northeast Texas, where he grew up, according to court information. The case was sealed Monday after a Tribune inquiry. No hearing date is scheduled.

Morgan, who is identified as Vanessa Morgan Mziray in the divorce citation, announced Friday she is due to give birth to a son in January. She did not mention Kopech, 24, in her announcement, and he appeared to be absent from the photos and video of her gender reveal celebration she posted on Instagram. A rep for Morgan said Kopech is the father but declined to comment further. Attempts to reach Kopech were unsuccessful.

Love is dead.  The flamethrower and the actress aren't going to ride off into the sunset.

This is just a sign of the unfortunate times we're all living in.  This pandemic is a son of a bitch.
