Baseball is back and so is Angel Hernandez and his terrible calls. Somehow Hernandez was behind the plate for the first game of the 2020 season between the Yankees and the Nationals.
He didn't waste much time stealing at bats from players. The only positive, if you can call it that, is that Hernandez is equally as terrible for both teams.

There are only 60 games this season and as Alex Rodriguez repeated a thousand times last night, this is a sprint not a marathon. You can't have Angel Hernandez working games and blowing calls.
I know an unnamed player said that a horny dude on the road is the biggest risk to the season, but it might actually be Hernandez working games behind the plate.
If he keeps this up, which he will, players and managers are going to forget about the pandemic and have no choice but to get in his face.
