Former Steelers linebacker James Harrison collected a number of fines during his playing days.  One of those fines might have been paid by his head coach Mike Tomlin.

Harrison did an interview this week with the Barstool Sports podcast, "Going Deep" and discussed being fined during his career.  The former Steeler was asked about the biggest fine he ever received.

The biggest fine Harrison ever received was $75,000 for a brutal headshot on former Cleveland Browns receiver Mohamed Massaquoi.

After receiving the fine, Harrison says he was given an envelope by his head coach Mike Tomlin:

"Listen, everything I love, on my daddy’s grave, I hit that man with about, max, 50 percent of what I had, and I just hit because I wanted him to let loose of the ball.  If I had known they were going to fine me $75,000, I would have tried to kill him.  Dude, I’m telling you, 75?  I ain’t going to lie to you.  When that happened, right?  The G-est thing Mike Tomlin ever did, he handed me an envelope after that.  I ain’t going to say what, but he handed me an envelope after that."

Oh man this could be a really big if the NFL decides to look into it.  But that's not necessarily a given.

The league has a really shitty track record when it comes to conducting investigations and handing out punishment.

I'm not counting on Goodell and company doing anything to the Rooney family.
